Placed on sale at the beginning of November 2019 (Paris, Drouot, SVV Delon-Hoebanx), this Dubois-Pillet landscape is included in the artist's catalogue among the paintings probably executed in the 1880s. In 1884, the painter presented two views of the Meudon wood at the 1st Salon des Indépendants (August at the Meudon wood and October at the Meudon wood, see here n° 14 and 15 of the catalogue raisonné).
