Cross at auction In March, in London, beautiful auctions were recorded for three paintings by Henri-Edmond Cross. At Sotheby's, on 6 March, "Pins", 1897-1898 (lot 35; no.122 of the catalogue raisonné), an oil on canvas, was auctioned for £723,900 and the next day, "Murano, l 'église Sainte-Marie et Saint-Donat", 1903-1905 (lot 138; no.210 of the catalogue raisonné) found a buyer for £698,500; at Christie's, on 8 March, "Etude pour Nymphes", an oil on paper, 1905-1906 (lot 221; no.319 of the catalogue raisonné) was acquired for £126,000. In April, on the 10th, Christie's Paris will offer for sale two interesting works: "Jeune Garçon au panier", circa 1885-1889 (lot 275, supplement of the catalogue raisonné) and "Etude pour Mère jeu avec son enfant (L 'enfant)", 1897-1899 (lot 276; no.238 of the catalogue raisonné).
